๐Ÿณ How much airflow does my rangehood need?

Rangehood power is measured in cubic metres of air per hour (mยณ/h). The right figure depends on the size of your kitchen, how you cook and how your ducting runs.

A good starting point is to replace the air in the cooking area about 15 times an hour. Gas cooktops, wok burners and lots of frying need more, and so do open-plan kitchens where smells travel into the living area.

Long ducts and bends also eat into performance, so allow a little extra if the motor is a long way from the hood.

With Schweigen's external Isodriveยฎ motors, the noise stays outside โ€” so choosing the bigger motor doesn't make your kitchen louder.
