Every Schweigen rangehood uses a German-engineered Isodrive motor mounted outside your kitchen — typically in your ceiling cavity, roof space or exterior wall. Because the noise source is physically removed from the kitchen, you hear nothing but your cooking. This is the fundamental difference between Schweigen and every conventional rangehood.

Where does the motor go?
The Isodrive motor mounts in your ceiling cavity, roof space, or on an exterior wall. Your installer routes ducting from the canopy to the motor location — this is why you never hear it operating.
Do I need a licensed installer?
